Narrative
BEXAR COUNTY, TX — Two people were sent to a hospital Thursday afternoon after their car collided with a VIA bus in San Antonio’s North Side.
VIA Transit Authority officials said the incident occurred at the corner of San Pedro Avenue and French Place, shortly before 3:30 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the VIA bus was heading southbound on San Pedro Avenue when a passenger car entered its lane and traveled into its path, causing a crash.
Though the bus driver was not reported hurt, one VIA passenger received treatment for minor injuries. It was unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital.
First responders transported the driver and passenger of the car to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.
No other information has been provided, but VIA Police joined San Antonio Police at the scene.
