Narrative

A big rig crashed into a southeast San Antonio home Thursday morning after a series of crashes involving a road rage driver. The events unfolded in the area of Interstate 37 and Hot Wells Boulevard just before 8:00 a.m. According to San Antonio Police, an angry driver in a passenger car drove in front of a big rig and slammed on their brakes. The maneuver caused the semi to run off course and its trailer to sway in a way that the big rig door swung open and the driver was ejected. The truck then ran off the interstate, hit a hatchback, and crashed into the side of a house near Avondale Avenue. The driver of the big rig and a woman in the hatchback suffered minor injuries. Both patients were taken to a local hospital. A passenger in the big rig and the road rage driver were not reported hurt. At this time, no arrests or charges have been reported.
