Narrative
BEXAR COUNTY, TX — One person was critically hurt Saturday night due to a crash that injured several others, including a child, in northwest San Antonio.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred in the 8400 block of North Loop 1604 West, shortly after 8:00 p.m.
According to San Antonio Police, a Tundra pickup truck was merging as three lanes reduced to two. At one point, it hit a southbound Honda, sending the second car into the rear of a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, which cased the car to spin multiple times. The Tundra then veered into the concrete median and came to a stop on the left shoulder moments later.
All occupants of the Honda were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The extent of their injuries remains largely unknown, but the SAPD said a 6-year-old boy suffered a broken arm.
The driver of the Tundra, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was also rushed to the hospital. As of this writing, however, they have been released. Authorities said the driver faces a charge of Driving While License Invalid – Serious Bodily Injury.
