Narrative

BEXAR COUNTY, TX — A man was hospitalized early Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle during a fight between two women near downtown San Antonio.

The incident took place outside of a bar in the 1400 block of North Main Avenue, shortly before 2:30 a.m. Multiple agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS crews, all responded to the scene.

Investigators say the events unfolded when two women became engaged in an argument in the parking lot of the business. At one point, one woman punched the other in the face and got into a pickup truck which ran over a man who was with the other woman.

The driver of the striking pickup then fled the scene. At this time, she has not been located.

First responders rushed the victim by ambulance to Brooke Army Medical Center. The extent of his injuries was unclear, but he is expected to make a recovery.

Authorities continue to investigate.
