Narrative

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A 33-year-old man died Thursday night after being pinned between two vehicles as a result of a crash near Alamo Quarry Market in north San Antonio.

San Antonio Police said the fatal incident occurred in the 300 block of Basse Road, near Jones Maltsberger Road. It was first reported at around 10:15 p.m.

An early investigation indicates a black 2022 BMW and a red 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee had stopped on the eastbound road after being involved in a minor crash.

Both drivers were standing between the parked cars while tending to the scene. At one point, the back of the Jeep was hit by a tan 2001 Mercury.

The victim, who was pinned between the Jeep and the BMW, suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to University Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
