Narrative

San Antonio Police continues to search for a hit-and-run driver whose car fatally hit a pedestrian last month in San Antonio’s West Side. The fatal incident occurred in the 4300 block of West Commerce Street on Wednesday, October 19, at about 9:30 p.m. An early investigation indicates the victim, a 46-year-old man, was crossing the street from north to south, outside of a marked crosswalk. At one point, he was hit by a silver 2014 Chevy Impala traveling eastbound. The vehicle continued without stopping. Authorities confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene. The fleeing driver faces a charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
