BEXAR COUNTY, TX — A woman was sent to a hospital late Thursday after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter in downtown San Antonio.

San Antonio Police responded to the scene at the intersection of East Commerce Street and Navarro Street on February 9, shortly before 10:00 p.m.

According to officials, the woman, 45, was operating a scooter when she entered the crosswalk against the right-of-way. Moments later, she was hit by a vehicle whose driver was traveling on a green light.

Though the female rider did not appear to have suffered observable injuries, she was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.

At this time, no pending charges have been reported.
