Speeding driver causing accident on north side of San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A driver speeding on Lp 410 caused a collision with a pickup truck that injured both drivers, KSAT reports.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Loop 410 East and Nacogdoches Road around 5 a.m. A man was speeding at about 90 miles per hour down Loop 410 in a white Toyota Corolla when he ran a red light at Nacogdoches.

The Corolla then hit a truck that was attempting to turn from Nacogdoches. The truck rolled over multiple times before crashing into a light pole. The Corolla crashed into a nearby wall and trapped the driver inside.

The truck driver suffered a mild head injury and was treated on the scene. The Corolla driver was rescued from his vehicle and transported to the hospital in serious condition.

Police have not indicated if they believe alcohol or drugs were a factor.
