LA VERNIA, TX – A fiery head-on collision in La Vernia on Saturday resulted in two deaths and left a third person in critical condition, KSAT reports.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on US Highway 87 West near County Road 361.
A Ford F-150 was traveling south when it attempted to pass another vehicle. It crashed head-on into another truck in the northbound lane, which caused both trucks to roll over and burst into flames.
Both drivers were killed at the scene. A passenger in one of the trucks sustained critical injuries and was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center.
