SPICEWOOD, TX – A pickup truck struck and killed a male pedestrian on Christmas night on a highway in southeast Burnet County.
Crews responded to the incident around 11:51 p.m. on Highway 71 westbound near Paleface Ranch Road, which is in the area of Paleface Homesteads in Spicewood.
The cause of the accident is unclear. Police say that the driver of the pickup truck did not stop to render aid.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim. They encourage anyone with tips or information to share to contact the Texas Department of Public Safety.
