Narrative
SUGAR LAND, TX – A two-vehicle collision along Grand Parkway in Sugar Land killed a child and injured four others Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 4:16 p.m. at the intersection TX-99 and East Riverpark Drive, which is just east of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Police say they do not suspect impairment but are investigating whether one of the drivers ran a red light.
Medics transported two juveniles to the hospital via airflight; one of them died shortly after. Three adults also went to the hospital, though the severity of their injuries is unclear at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
