Narrative
TYLER, TX – A 55-year-old woman died on Tuesday evening when her sedan collided with a pickup truck on the highway in Tyler.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 2212 and Highway 31, which is east of TX-323 on the eastern side of the city.
The investigation thus far indicates that a northbound Chrysler 300 sedan turned left in front of an eastbound Chevy Silverado, at which point the latter vehicle struck the sedan.
The driver of the Chrysler, identified as Mary L. Crockett, died at the scene of the crash.
Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck along with a 12-year-old, 1-year-old, and 20-year-old to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
