TYLER, TX – The driver of a white SUV died on Tuesday morning after colliding with a truck hauling cargo on the toll road in Tyler.

The exact time of the accident is unclear, but police say it happened in the morning, sometime before 11 a.m., on West Toll 49 at the Athens Highway.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the circumstances of the crash. Photos taken at the scene show significant damage to the left side and rear of the white SUV.

The driver of the passenger car died from injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have not identified the victim publicly.

Medics transported the driver of the cargo truck to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
