Narrative
HOUSTON, TX – Medics transported a cyclist to the hospital on Wednesday after a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in southwest Houston.
The incident happened in the afternoon near the intersection of Fondren Road and West Orem Drive, which is between the Sam Houston Tollway and Highway 90.
Police say that the bicyclist was riding east along the side of Fondren Road westbound when a Ford F 150 struck him while turning right from Fondren onto West Orem Drive.
The bicyclist went to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Ford remained at the scene to speak with police.
