GATESVILLE, TX – A man from McGregor was killed and a teenage girl was injured in a head-on collision in Gatesville this weekend, according to KWTX News.
The crash happened on FM 1783, about five miles west of FM 116, at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, as the driver of a 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck, a 16-year-old girl from Gatesville, went over the center line while rounding a curve. Her vehicle went into the lanes of oncoming traffic, and she collided head-on with a 1997 Honda Civic.
The driver of the Civic, 45-year-old McGregor resident Shawn Eric Lindsey, died at the scene.
The teenage girl sustained non-critical injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
