1 dead, 2 injured after driver runs red light at Beaumont intersection

BEAUMONT, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident at an intersection in Beaumont on Tuesday night, according to 12 News Now.

The crash occurred at about 9:20 p.m. near Dowlen Road and Phelan Boulevard, after the 31-year-old driver of a Jeep Compass, Beaumont man Bryant K. Foster, allegedly ran a red light. He then drove into the intersection and collided with a Cadillac SUV.

Foster died at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac and a passenger in the Jeep were taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
