17-year-old dead after colliding with tree in late-night Port Arthur crash

PORT ARTHUR, TX – A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday night in Port Arthur when his vehicle collided with a tree, according to 12 News Now.

The collision happened on Memorial Boulevard at about 10:40 p.m., as a 17-year-old driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed. His car went off the side of the road, where it collided with a tree.

The driver, who is not being identified here due to his age, died at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
