FOREST HEIGHTS, TX (ORANGE COUNTY) – An 18-year-old driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash that happened on Old Highway 87 in Orange County early New Year’s Day, according to 12 News Now.
The crash occurred in Forest Heights on Old Hwy 87 near Lydia Street at around 1:30 a.m. The driver of a white 2008 Honda pickup truck, 18-year-old Deweyville resident Dylan Elmore, ran off the roadway while rounding a curve.
The vehicle then skidded and crashed into a tree.
Elmore died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
