PORT ARTHUR, TX – Two people were killed in a collision between a dump truck and a bus on State Highway 82 near the Louisiana state line earlier this week, according to 12 News Now.
The crash happened on the causeway near the southern end of Pleasure Island at about 7:30 a.m. Monday, when a charter bus and an 18-wheeler commercial dump truck collided.
Beaumont man Curtis Colvin, the driver of the dump truck, and Port Arthur man Willie Allen, the bus driver, were both pronounced dead after the crash.
There were no passengers on the bus when the accident happened.
The accident remains under investigation.
