29-year-old motorcyclist fatally rear-ended in crash on Hwy 69

NEDERLAND,  TX (JEFFERSON COUNTY) – A motorcyclist is dead after being rear-ended by another driver on Highway 69 in Jefferson County yesterday evening, according to 12 News Now.

The crash happened on Highway 69, near mile marker 536 and Parkway Drive in Nederland, at about 6 p.m., after the 29-year-old operator of a 2017 Yamaha motorcycle reportedly failed to yield while entering the feeder road.

He was then struck from behind by another driver.

The motorcyclist, a man from Nederland, was taken to the hospital, and there he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The other driver was taken to the same hospital and is expected to survive their injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
