4 people killed in early-morning crash on FM 252 near Kirbyville

KIRBYVILLE, TX (JASPER COUNTY) – Four people died during a crash on FM 252 Road near Kirbyville early this morning, according to information from 12 News Now.

The accident occurred on FM 252, about a mile north of FM 1005 Rd at around 12:45 a.m., as the driver of a 2019 Nissan was traveling at an unsafe rate of speed. While attempting to round a curve in the roadway, the driver then went off the western side of the road and ran into a ditch. There, the car crashed into a tree.

The driver and their three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims are pending family notification.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
