6 people hospitalized after car crashes into guardrail on I-10 in Vidor

VIDOR, TX – Six people were hospitalized after a car crashed into a guardrail on I-10 in Vidor early Saturday morning, according to 12 News Now.

The crash happened near mile marker 864 at about 2:30 a.m., when a driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, then ran off the side of the highway. He crashed into the guardrail, causing one person to be trapped within the wreckage.

One person was taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Another two people sustained severe injuries in the crash.

Three others were hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
