Beaumont man fatally ejected during late-night crash on Cardinal Dr

BEAUMONT, TX – A Beaumont man died after being ejected during a crash on Cardinal Drive late Tuesday night, according to information from 12 News Now.

The crash happened in the 300 block of E Cardinal Dr, near Sulphur Drive at 10:26 p.m., as the driver of a southbound Ford F-150 pickup truck changed lanes when it was not safe to do so.

The driver, who was identified as 39-year-old Ryan Foster, of Beaumont, then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a second car. The impact sent the pickup truck off the side of the road and into the median and feeder road nearby.

Foster was ejected during the crash and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is unclear if the other driver was hurt in the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
