Beaumont man killed after falling off motorcycle, being hit by car

BEAUMONT, TX – A motorcyclist was killed after falling off his vehicle and then being hit by another driver in Beaumont early Saturday morning, according to 12 News Now.

The crash happened at about 3:40 a.m. in the 7500 block of College Street, near Dowlen Road, after 41-year-old Beaumont man Mario Reginald Cantue, Sr. had fallen off his motorcycle while reportedly driving at a high rate of speed. He was then hit by a second driver traveling behind him.

Cantue was pronounced dead after the crash.

The other driver was not immediately reported as injured.

No further details are available at this time, and the accident remains under investigation.
