ORANGE, TX – One person was killed and another four were hospitalized following a head-on crash on State Highway 62 in Orange County last night, according to 12 News Now.
The crash occurred in the 17000 block of SH-62 near Tulane Road at about 7:50 p.m. when the driver of a 2017 Nissan Frontier pickup truck went from the southbound lanes into the northbound traffic lanes. There, it collided head-on with a 1991 Ford Expedition SUV headed northbound.
The Nissan’s driver, who was not identified pending family notification, died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, 39-year-old Orange woman Patricia Broussard, and her three children were taken to St. Elizabeth for the treatment of severe injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
