Pedestrian severely injured after being hit by train in Orange

ORANGE, TX – A pedestrian was severely injured after he was struck by an Amtrak train in Orange on Wednesday afternoon, according to information from 12 News Now.

The crash happened in the 1300 block of W Curtis Avenue just after 4 p.m., after a 49-year-old man was struck by a southbound Amtrak train.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with injuries that were considered critical, but stable.

The accident remains under investigation by multiple agencies, including the Union Pacific Railroad Police, the Amtrak Railroad Police, and the Orange Police Department.
