VIDOR, TX – Four victims, including a pregnant woman and her unborn child, died in Orange County on Wednesday in an accident involving slowed traffic due to a previously reported truck crash.

The accident occurred about two miles from the original crash, located on I-10 near FM 1136, at about 11:30 a.m., according to KHOU.

The driver of an SUV, a 50-year-old man from Fort Myers, Florida, collided with the back of an 18-wheeler truck that had stopped in the traffic delay, which was caused by a fatal two-truck collision earlier.

The driver of the SUV died at the scene.

Two female passengers, a 29-year-old and a 63-year-old, both of Fort Myers, were taken to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

One of the women was pregnant at the time, and despite the efforts of medical personnel working to perform an emergency delivery, the unborn child died as well.

The driver of the truck was not reported as hurt.

The identities of the victims have not yet been reported.
