1 dead, 1 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 380 in Denton

DENTON, TX – A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 380 in Denton led to the death of one person and the injury of another on Sunday morning, according to NBC DFW.

The collision happened on U.S. 380 (E University Drive), near Trinity Road, at 9:11 a.m., when three vehicles collided.

Two people were taken to the hospital after the crash. One of those victims later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.

The second victim sustained wounds that were not thought to be life-threatening.

The accident occurred about two miles from the site of another fatal crash that occurred on May 23, prompting concerns about the highway’s safety.
