1 dead in fiery, multi-vehicle collision involving propane truck in Dickinson

DICKINSON, TX – One person was killed this afternoon in a fiery collision in Dickinson including multiple vehicles, one of them a propane truck, according to KHOU.

The crash occurred on FM 517 Road near Algoa-Friendswood Road at about 4 p.m., when a driver headed westbound swerved into the lane of oncoming eastbound traffic. There, the driver collided with a propane truck.

The propane truck overturned and collided with at least another two cars, then caught fire. The wrong-way vehicle also burst into flames.

One of the drivers of the passenger vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
