2 children, woman injured after driver allegedly runs stop sign on 39th St

GALVESTON, TX – A woman and two children were injured in a crash after the driver reportedly ran a stop sign on 39th Street in Galveston on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the crash happened at 2598 39th Street, near Avenue S ½ at 3:58 p.m., after the 26-year-old driver of a black 2014 Nissan reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

The left side of her vehicle was then struck by a tan 2007 Chevrolet being driven by a 19-year-old man.

The at-fault driver and two passengers in her vehicle, identified as an 8-year-old boy and  3-year-old girl, sustained potential injuries during the crash.

The other driver was not reported as hurt.
