2 paramedics injured after semi-truck crashes into ambulance on I-45

TEXAS CITY, TX – Two paramedics were hurt after a truck driver crashed into an ambulance on I-45 in Texas City late Friday night, according to information from the Galveston County Daily News.

The crash happened in the 6200 block of Gulf Fwy S at 11:45 p.m., as people in an ambulance were assisting a driver with a blown tire. The driver of a semi-truck then crashed into the back of the ambulance, which was stopped with its lights on.

Two paramedics inside the ambulance sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

The truck driver was not reported as hurt.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
