Pedestrian hit by passing driver after car malfunctions on I-45 in Galveston

GALVESTON, TX – A person was hit by a vehicle on I-45 after their own car experienced a malfunction, causing them to be sent to the hospital this afternoon, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

The crash occurred on the overpass near Harborside Drive at about 4:45 p.m., when a person stopped their car and got out to check a mechanical issue. The pedestrian victim was then struck by a second driver.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-critical wounds.

The other driver was not reported as injured.
