LEAGUE CITY, TX – A woman from La Marque was charged with manslaughter on Wednesday in connection with a fatal car accident in League City last month, according to the Galveston County Daily News.

The accused is La Marque woman Keniqua Pleasant, 20, who allegedly struck 46-year-old League City man Jeremy Campbell from behind on October 28.

Campbell was exiting I-45 at League City Parkway when he was allegedly rear-ended by Pleasant. He was killed when the impact pushed his vehicle into a median, and then into a bulldozer.

Pleasant reportedly got out of her vehicle and into a truck owned by a witness who had stopped to render aid after seeing the collision. She fled the scene in the stolen vehicle and was soon after apprehended by authorities.

Pleasant is being held for manslaughter, a second-degree felony, in the Galveston County Jail on an $80,000 bond.
