Woman and teen injured in single-vehicle crash on SH-87

BOLIVAR PENINSULA, TX – A woman and a teenage girl were injured in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 87 in the Bolivar Peninsula area this weekend, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash happened at 1001 SH-87 near S Redfish at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, when the 46-year-old driver of a blue 2009 GMC failed to maintain his attention on the roadway.

The GMC then crashed, causing injury to two backseat passengers.

One of those passengers, a 29-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The other passenger, a 17-year-old girl, sustained possible injuries.

The driver and his third passenger, a 49-year-old man, were not hurt in the crash.
