HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and another three were injured in a crash that happened during a police pursuit on Wilcrest Drive early Monday morning, according to the City of Houston.

The incident began at a gas station in the 10400 block of Richmond Avenue, when officers reportedly noticed a white Cadillac STS that was illegally parked. They activated emergency lights, then went to investigate, and that was when the driver of the Cadillac fled, prompting a pursuit.

The driver then ran a red light on Meadowglen Lane and the 2700 block of Wilcrest Dr, and the Cadillac crashed into a white BMW 5281.

The driver of the BMW died at the scene.

The driver of the Cadillac, whom authorities identified as 20-year-old Cameron Rogers, was taken to the hospital in stable condition, as were his two passengers, an 18-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man.

He was reportedly not showing signs of being under the influence when the crash occurred.

The collision remains under investigation at this time.
