3 injured after Pearland police officer rear-ends another vehicle

PEARLAND, TX – Three people, including a Pearland police officer, were taken to the hospital after that officer rear-ended a car while responding to a call this weekend, according to KTRK.

The collision happened in the 2400 block of Broadway Street on Saturday, as a Pearland police officer was responding to an emergency call. He then crashed into another vehicle.

Two civilians were trapped within the wreckage after the crash. After being extricated by emergency crews, they and the officer were taken to the hospital to receive treatment for non-critical injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
