Bicyclist dead after being struck by multiple drivers on Eastex Fwy

HOUSTON, TX – A bicyclist was killed after being struck by multiple drivers on the Eastex Freeway in northeast Houston late last night, according to KHOU.

The crash occurred near the intersection of the Eastex Freeway (U.S. Highway 59/I-69) and Hopper Road at about 11:30 p.m., when a man was walking his bicycle across the southbound lanes of the highway.

The victim was struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle and the driver of a work truck.

The driver of a second passenger vehicle collided with the victim’s bicycle after attempting to dodge.

The three drivers remained at the scene and are not suspected of having been under the influence when the crash occurred.

The accident remains under investigation.
