CYPRESS, TX – A young bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a driver on FM 529 in the Cypress area on New Year’s Day, according to information from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision happened at FM 529 and Cypress Village Drive at around 4:20 p.m., when a driver collided with a juvenile boy who was riding his bike.
The victim was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.
It is unclear if the driver, who remained at the scene, was hurt in the crash.
