Constable’s deputy hospitalized after suspected DUI crash on FM 1960

SPRING, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – A constable’s deputy was hospitalized following a crash that authorities believe may have involved a drunk driver on FM 1960 Road in Spring early yesterday morning.

According to details provided by KTRK, the crash happened on FM 1960 beneath the I-45 overpass at around 2 a.m., when a deputy’s patrol vehicle collided with a second car.

The deputy was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries but has since been released.

The other driver was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. It is unclear if the second driver was hurt during the collision.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash at this time.
