Crash involving garbage truck in Huffman kills 1

HUFFMAN, TX – According to information from Nationwide Report, a two-vehicle crash involving a garbage truck left in Huffman left one woman dead on Friday morning.

Authorities say the incident took place just before 6:30 a.m., near the 11300 block of FM 1960 and Grey Fox Drive. A 34-year-old female driver of a Jeep Cherokee was driving west on FM 1960 when her vehicle crossed over the center line into oncoming traffic. The Jeep collided head-on with a Peterbilt garbage truck heading east on FM 1960.

The driver of the Jeep was killed in the impact, while the garbage truck driver did not sustain any injuries.

Police continue to investigate this incident.
