HOUSTON, TX – A man crossing the street in northwest Houston was fatally struck by a vehicle last week, less than an hour before another fatal pedestrian accident on the opposite side of town.
According to KTRK, the accident happened in the 4400 block of Gessner Road, near Clay Road, just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.
A male pedestrian in his 30s was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by the driver of a pickup truck.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, died as a result.
The driver, who was not reported as injured, remained at the scene.
