Man dead after crashing pickup truck into pole on Airline Drive

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A driver was pronounced dead after he crashed into a pole on Airline Drive in northern Harris County late Saturday night, according to KTRK.

The collision happened in the 8500 block of Airline Drive near E Mitchell Road at around 11:30 p.m., when the driver of a pickup truck lost control of his vehicle and struck the curb. He then crashed into a traffic pole.

The driver, identified as Giovane Garcia, was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

No other vehicles or victims were involved in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
