Truck driver dead after 18-wheeler is hit by train in Huffman

HUFFMAN, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – A truck driver was killed after being struck by a train in a fiery collision in Huffman on Wednesday morning, according to KTRK.

The crash occurred near FM 1960 Road and FM 2100 Road at about 7 a.m., as the driver of an 18-wheeler was headed over the railroad crossing. The cab of the truck was then struck by a Kansas City Southern Train and was pushed about 30 feet along the track. The truck then burst into flames.

The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hazmat teams had to be called in due to fuel being spilled from the semi-truck.
