ODESSA, TX — According to YourBasin, three children remain in critical condition after a two-vehicle wreck Monday night on North County Road West in Odessa.
Odessa Police responded to the scene at the intersection with West University Boulevard on August 15, at around 9:35 p.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota RAV4 was heading northbound in the left-turn lane within the 2600 block of North County Road West. At the same time, a Honda Accord was traveling southbound in the inside lane with the 2700 block of the same road. At one point, the driver of the Toyota failed to yield to the right of way and struck the Honda.
Three juvenile passengers suffered critical injuries and were rushed to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear which vehicle they were in at the time of the wreck.
The driver of the Honda was also transported to a hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
No further details have been provided at this time, but an investigation remains in progress.
