HOUSTON, TX – A 28-year-old woman died attempting to cross the South Sam Houston Parkway feeder on foot on Monday morning.
According to abc13, the woman was crossing the 9000 block of the South Sam Houston Parkway westbound around 4:45 a.m. A GMC Sierra pickup truck struck her before veering into a tractor-trailer, which did not stop.
The driver of the pickup truck cooperated with the police and did not show signs of intoxication. The woman, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
