Woman fatally run over on Katy Fwy by man following argument in car

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed on the Katy Freeway early this morning after being run over by a man following an argument, according to KHOU.

The accident occurred in the 5800 block of the Katy Freeway, near T. C. Jester, at 1:30 a.m., when a woman told a male driver to let her out of the vehicle while they were arguing. The victim, who was not immediately identified, stepped out of the car after the driver pulled over.

She was still holding onto the door handle when the driver pulled away and was knocked to the ground. The driver then knowingly ran over her and left the freeway, according to the report.

The victim died at the scene.

The driver eventually returned to the scene, and then was taken into police custody. He will likely be facing multiple charges.
